Sensicology Blogiversary!

I actually didn’t realize this until last night when I looked at the monthly stats and saw that I started this blog last July!  July 1st  to be exact, so I’m many days late on this.  Anyways, so this blog has a looong way to go as it’s not nearly as popular as other personal/science blogs but to be honest, I kind of like it that way.    I think I view this blog as my home away from the rest of the web.  This post will be wrapping up this blog’s year online.  First, here’s my lackluster progress with stats,

The first post was the Welcome All post.  I read it last night and I completely laughed as this blog has went in a completely different direction.  Not only was I attitude-y in the welcome post but a liar.  I wrote, “…Im not just some jibber jabbery person” lol I didn’t realize it then but I kind of am, though technically I’m not that way when I talk, just when I type.  I actually stayed on the subject of science until around mid-January(ish) then I turned it into a part personal blog.  Which, kind of still stayed on science because I was taking science classes and described what I was learning.

I must admit, I feel a little guilty about this but my most popular blog post is, Catching Aquatic Insects and Surviving The Punishment Of The Greek Gods.  The reason I feel guilty is because most people are visiting that blog using search terms like, “pond insects”, “aquatic insects”, and “insects”.  I keep telling myself that I’ll eventually write an elaborate post about aquatic insects, but I never gotten around to it!  But, here’s some search engine terms to be proud of, but I highly doubt people found what they were looking for:

1. sex on the trail camping trip – too bad I didn’t write a how-to post or something!
2. laughing caddis gif – no laughing insects on this blog, that’s weird
3. being a pushover mom – looks like someone was looking for parenting advice
4. greek insect monster – no words to explain this
5. pokemon gameboy color case – unless this person looked at the comments section or something, then theres no way this person found info on a pokemon gameboy case.  But, for what it’s worth, I had the Pokemon Gold Gameboy color case.
6. thinking of gay people for bible – wut??
7. stuff to eat when stomach hurting – sorry, for whoever searched for that, cause the only advice I remember giving was to eat something warm or not drink Pink Lemonade!

Some blog achievements was…getting lots of visits from Digg and Reddit…I don’t know if that’s an achievement but I’ll call it that!  Also, being on Stumble Upon, again, not really a blog achievement and I should give credit to Doson for actually Stumbling this blog.  I can’t fabricate any other situations where I made blog achievements, so I’ll leave it at that!

I think everyone knows by now my favorite part of a blog is comments.  My typical annoying blogger friends, T3ck, Omar, Doson, Suprarationality (or Gemma), and Peter P visited at first to comment regularly (kind of).  Definitely provided some comments and screw ups where I giggled.  Like “PlaySation“, was funny, cause I started off reading the comment as serious and then once  I realized the typo I started giggling & smh.  Also, I swear I needed a translator for half of Doson’s comments, but eventually I figured it out once I obtained the Doson translator!  And I think he insulted my blog content and made an innuendo type comment.  Then I kept getting criticized for my long blog post by him and Gemma, so I triiied to shorten it down some…didn’t work all that much.  Then someone besmirched my bookshelf, soooo lucky the comment was hilarious.  I’m used to jokes but sometimes jokes don’t work out, especially if you make typos and duplicate comments lol.

So, I like to thank everyone that has come to this blog.  It’s my place to be, I actually hang out here a lot since I’ve added my music page.  Thank you, and I hope you have or will enjoy the blog.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some other blogs to read and some Salmon to eat.  The Salmon has bones in it so I have to be extra careful.  Oh and I saw Transformers 2 today.  Loved the movie, two hours well spent!  Bye-Bye
