Odontodactylus Scyllarus

Odontodactylus scyllarus is a shrimp, its common name is peacock mantis shrimp.  I first saw this shrimp in Discover magazine. Discover reports that the shrimp can see a specialized kind of light that no other animal, as far as we know can see. Can be found near coral reefs in Indo-Pacific to Guam to East Africa.  Its a common burrower and lives at a depth of 3-30 meters.  Its sold at aquarium shops, so if you want one you can get it.

The peacock mantic shrimp could have the fastest kick of any animal.  Also they are extremely strong, which would explain why they have a fast kick for suck a small animal.  The coolest thing is that their appendage cause cavitation.  This means that their appendage moves so fast that the water around the appendage vaporizes.
